Shane Foss Talks Telemedicine and Its Role in Managing COVID-19

This week, Hooray Health Founder and CEO joined the McGohan Brabender’s Side Affects podcast. Here he discusses how telemedicine is assisting people all over the United States to consult a doctor during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since the initial spread of SAR-COV-2, Telemedicine has seen a substantial rise in use as states move to increase telehealth services for the residents. These motions have led to telemedicine playing an active role in flattening the country’s curve.

“For us, it’s a zero dollar cost from a consulting standpoint, a mobile app with provider access, and we’re selling it to individuals and groups.”

Hooray Health understood the power of telemedicine and its impact on communities when Shane requested its inclusion in Hooray Health’s features when launching the health plan. By doing so, Hooray Health opened the lines of communication between those with limited care options in rural and urban communities alike as a first step in accessing care.

Each Hooray Health plan features round the clock telemedicine support for a zero-dollar consultation fee. Members review their condition with U.S. board-certified physicians trained to treat acute illnesses remotely.

In 2019, Hooray Health created a new low-cost telehealth service option that would stand independent of its other plans. WellCall 360 provides the same incredible care that Assurance Plan members utilize for the price of a monthly streaming service.

The COVID-19 situation made it clear that remote access to healthcare services is a necessity. With this knowledge, Hooray Health positions itself to issue telemedicine services to more individuals, families, and employers to avoid similar shortages that we see today.
